balderdash / my dad is awesome
balderdash is a game where all the players have to write a a definition for a word, the definitions are read and then everyone votes for what they think is the real definition. the first word up was “pouze” and my dad wrote “the process of spinning alpaca fur into yarn.” then he told me that he occasionally visits an alpaca farm nearby to see the beautiful creatures. I...

fascism is not socialism
it seems that the right wing idiots have been throwing the term socialism around an awful lot lately. I don’t know why. socialism is a good thing as far as I’m concerned. however, fascism is what has actually been going on in our governement and it’s frightening as hell. ideology 101: - socialism is allocation of resources and equal access to resources among everyone. equality....

is it ok for a grown man to decorate cookies with his mom and sister? I’m going to go with yes because otherwise I’ll feel bad when I kick their asses at board games tomorrow.

home sweet home
one of my favorite things about going home for the holidays is discovering all the random rotting food that my parents keep stocking up on for some reason. for example, there are four tubs of sour cream in the fridge with older expirations as you dig further back. of course, only the very oldest one dating back to November has been opened. then there is the fontina cheese - three different kinds...

I ate myself sick on Christmas candy
I was finished eating until I found something called a fiddlestick and well, I just had to try it and it pushed me over the limit.

owls are freakin' strange
owls are the strangest creatures. they’re so damn goofy looking. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one outside of a zoo, but there is one that sits outside of my window and hoots all damn night now. I want to capture the thing and domesticate it and then we’ll just stay up all night and hang out while it eats my cockroaches. that would be awesome.

speaking of horribly offensive..
booyahgrandma: becausegettingthereishalfthefun: I am wearing the two biggest clothes purchasing mistakes I have ever made and my co-workers have been beating me up about it all day. the outfit consists of too small indigo skinny jeans and a too small light gray argyle sweater with green diamonds and red stripes. it’s Christmas-y. Picture or it didn’t happen. brutally real evidence…

I am simple minded
MST 3K is still hilarious to me. I was watching it with a buddy who came over and neither of us have watched it in fifteen years; we fully expected it to be terrible. instead, it was really really funny. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. the only explanation is that we are dim witted, soft headed and simple minded.

I recently found out that Taylor Lautner grew up down the road from me. the only reason I’m writing this is because I want all the ladies to know that we have something else in common…I have amazing six pack abs as well. I swear.

college radio is the best
I’m a big fan of radio as a format. I love morning shows. I love listening to baseball games on the radio. talk radio is great. I enjoy hearing songs that I haven’t heard before. but top 40 radio is terrible and rock stations are even worse (unless you like AC/DC and Metallica and nothing else.) but college radio stations are the best. you get to hear the awesomeness of dj’s...
